Tragic Accident

Im horribly sorry to tell you guys this but, the glasses will not be given out. The reason for the lack of updates for a couple of months was because my house burned on fire. That meant that my computer, the Bret Hart Glasses, clothes and all of my things besides things I grabbed are gone. I feel like I have let you down Frankie and you were the winner and due to that, I have a designed by me Bret Hart T-Shirt coming your way. It really sucks. The date of my house burning was May 14. And I just got a new dell. Expect more updates to come.
Bret Hart on Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker and Mickey Rourke at WM25

Former WWE star Bret Hart is very complimentary of the Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker match at WrestleMania 25 match last month. Hart says he was proud of the performances from both men.
“I’ll be the first to say that I thought Taker vs. Shawn was the best match at WrestleMania, maybe one of the best matches I’ve seen in years,” Hart said on the U.K. Sun’s WrestleCast podcast. “To a certain degree, I was proud of both of them.”
Hart and Michaels have yet to publicly reconcile their differences from Survivor Series 1997, but Hart says he doesn’t let personal feelings get in the way of evaluating Michaels’s in-ring ability.
“I never take away the fact that Shawn was a great wrestler and he did a lot of great stuff,” Hart said. “I’ve always been really proud of the match we had in Anaheim (the Iron Man match at WrestleMania 12), when I dropped the title to him.”
Hart also watched Mickey Rourke’s involvement in WrestleMania 25 and says it was unnecessary. He says he doesn’t understand why WWE wanted any part of the movie.
“I don’t know what that was all about at WrestleMania,” Hart said. “I don’t know why they (WWE) started it.”
Hart was very critical of “The Wrestler” movie when it came out, as he believes the movie paints the wrestling industry in a negative light. Hart says other wrestlers he’s talked to have echoed his thoughts in private discussions.
“I’ve talked to different wrestlers and asked them what they really thought of it,” he said. “And a lot of them told me they felt like a whore after they watched it.”
FYI: We’ll have more from Hart’s interview with Simon Rothstein and Joel Ross of the U.K. Sun later this weekend. They currently have a 40-minute downloadable interview with Hart, who talks in-depth about the state of wrestling.
Writing His Book: “In a lot of ways the writing was really cathartic for me. I tried to let it take its own course. I never rushed anything. I found myself putting a full day just into writing a whole page.”
The Montreal Screwjob: “For me I don’t really have much issue with it anymore. If you asked me that up until probably about a year ago I’d have probably said something different. But I’ve cooled off a bit now. I don’t want to carry it around anymore. If [Shawn Michaels] wanted to apologize I would accept it. I’d move on but I wouldn’t forget it.”
Inducting Shawn Michaels into the WWE Hall of Fame: “Maybe if he wants to make himself feel better about it he should have the guts to pick up the phone and apologize. Then we’ll see after that.
Did He Take the Business Too Seriously?: “Maybe I did take it all a bit too serious. But that’s what made me special and hopefully makes people remember me as someone who was passionate about what I did and what I thought wrestling was really all about.”
I was looking around to see if I could get you guys a really great part of Bret and the Hart Foundation in the new WWE Greatest Stars of the 90’s DVD and I did. A nice little section where Bret Hart reunites all of his brothers on a Monday Night edition of Raw on March 31, 1997. Check it out =]
Bret did an interview with ringside discussing The Hart Foundation and Heel days in the WWF. Personally Bret thinks it was a lot of fun being a bad guy but at the same time he never liked going against his fans. Its a great little interview about 8 minutes deep, check it out.
Bret Hart continues to be a huge hit on foreign soil. Bret’s book signing tour throughout the UK has been a massive success and has created some lasting memories for many “Hitman” fans. Again, if you have not read Bret’s autobiography it is a “must read” for any true fan of the biz, past, present or future. BTW “The Hitman” is a regular user of JR’s BBQ Sauces just in case you were keeping score at home.
Piledriver Wrestling Interviews Bret Hart at Forbidden Planet, London prior to a Book signing
1
Bret gets interviewed by Piledriver Wrestling before a book signing in London. The interviewer ask Bret about his book and how he came about making it. Bret tells him during his time on the road, he made a bunch of recordings in contribution to the project later on in life. And it help him kind of remember all of the incidents that happened during his career. Interviewer tells Bret that his book has gotten good critics and then asks him why does he think that’s so. Bret replies saying that he thinks that his book is honest and fair. Then interviewer goes into a topic with what Bret like to see happen in wrestling. Bret replies saying he would like to see wrestling make a union and he thinks wrestling is a bit stuck in the stone age. He thinks that the schedule has a big impact on drug , depression problems. The interviewer kind of pushes the thought of if Bret could wrestle someone past or present, who would it be. Bret kind of is unsure but kind of says his dad, Stu Hart. Bret states his final words to the fans, basically saying that it means a lot to him just knowing that fans after ten years still remember him.
Bret Hart vs Chris Benoit - Kemper Arena - Owen Hart Tribute Match

Bret Hart vs Chris Benoit - Kemper Arena - Owen Hart Tribute Match
Unscripted, Uncensored, October 4, 1999 was a night never to be forgotten, when Bret Hart took on Chris Benoit paying homage and respect to the late great Owen Hart. The atmosphere was amazing and the crowd gave each match participants a huge pop. It was amazing because Benoit and Bret get introduced by Harley Race (not ordinary). With Benoit coming and making his way to the ring with a computer ready Owen Hart T-Shirt. And You have Bret wearing Owen Hart colors, almost like Owen is the older brother and hero, which Owen thought it otherwise. It almost could be thought of as Owen Hart’s defining moment because Owen had everything and everyone on his side. The lame and bummer part is, while this match is going on, you have a WWE promo featuring The Rock, which showed how selfish WWE is.
Anyways, the match was almost like a dream that should have never happened but at the same time it did. It almost looked like they were right in the dungeon that Stu Hart trained them in. They really get technical, and notice how about ten punches were thrown out of the whole match. If thought that this match was fake, it was as real as it got. Bret and Benoit almost showed a tremendous amount of respect for one another in the match. As they got into it they stopped to shake eachothers hand and start up the grappling again.
The match went on to be about a good 26 minutes. But only few really understand the match because it was in shades of Owen. Each man showed Owen in that match. And it was what you a call glory moment. The poetry and story of the match was so good that even when I was getting screen capturing photos from the match, it brought a tear to my eye. It was in count, one of the best matches that I have ever seen. It was better than anything scripted because it was as legit as it comes.
